Without further ado… let’s hear from Leanne about their best day ever!
If you could sum up your wedding day in one word, what would it be?
FUN! It was an incredible, crazy blur of love and laughter. My runner-up word would be FAST because no matter how many times everyone tells you how it will fly by, they can’t prepare you for the warp speed mode that begins as soon as the photographer arrives!
What’s the one moment you remember, above all, about your wedding day? What made it feel so special/memorable?
Exchanging vows. We did not share them before the wedding, so it was incredibly special to realize we went for exactly the same tone: funny, poignant, and brief 🙂
What did you love most about your photographer?
David was relaxed but firm which was super important for us because neither of us like having our photo taken.
Did you include any heirlooms or special items in your wedding day? What made you decide to include it/them?
My parents had 4 of my great-grandparents champagne flutes that we all toasted with. We got married on my birthday, and the following day was both my mom’s birthday and my parents’ 40th wedding anniversary! We did not plan it this way but there is a beautiful symmetry to it.
What did it feel like to be dressed for your wedding and see yourself, for the first time, before the ceremony?
It was like the night before Christmas as a little kid x1,000,000. That happy/nervous feeling is the best.
What did it feel like to see your future spouse for the first time on your wedding day?
I couldn’t stop grinning, he looked so handsome and happy.
